Interesting sharing from a Philippine teacher about Tet in Vietnam

 

- Teacher Martin, what is the most memorable thing that you have experienced on Tet holiday?
- In my home country - Philippine, most people celebrate Christmas and New Year, some celebrate the Lunar New Year but not very large. To me, if the New Year is for family then the Lunar New Year is for new experiences. So, every year when it comes to this occasion, I will travel abroad.
However, since I went to Vietnam, unique charmings have always been one of the things that keep me back. The way that descendants repair for ancestor worship and decor their home in red tone with lucky items makes a strong impression on me. Also, the appearance of peach blossom, apricot blossom or kumquat tree and chung cakes with 60% meat are interesting things about Tet that I enjoy. 
Because of those reasons, before any travels on Tet holidays, I spent a few days (in Vietnam) to celebrate with my friends. It was fun!
