CAREER PROSPECT

    According to Ho Chi Minh City's Center for Human Resource Forecast and Information Market, from 2015 to 2025, 21,600 people will be needed in the Communication and Advertising industry each year. However, the number of students enrolled in the industry each year is only about 5,000 - 6,000 / year. Thus, students studying Multimedia Communication are always in "scarcity" and are welcomed by businesses.


    Multimedia Communication in the context of booming 4.0 industrial revolution has many differences compared to the previous period. Experts of the multimedia industry in the digital age need to apply and combine fluently the media, be sensitive to the message, be creative to have impressive media products, aiming to right target and right time.

     

    Domestic media - advertising enterprises are also catching up with the world trends, foreign businesses are also eyeing human resources from Vietnam. Taking advantage of the Internet is the fastest way to promote media products and according to We Are Social's statistics, in 2018, Vietnam had 64 million Internet users reaching 67% of the population. This shows that the future Multimedia Communication is still a trendy, highly competitive and attractive industry for those who are passionate about innovation.

    DIFFERENT TRAINING

    • Students study using a English, international copyrighted, imported directly from reputable publishers around the world curriculum.
    • Students are trained in a second foreign language which is Chinese.
    • Right from the first year, students study 1 semester of English abroad.
    • Students have 1-2 semesters of specialized study at Multimedia University or Limkokwing University, Malaysia.
    • In the 3rd year, students can work for 4 - 8 months in electronic newspaper, television, agency (advertising media service company), manufacturers and broadcast content providers. Information, entertainment.

    • Students are provided basic skills required in management, how the principles of management developed, the necessary attributes of manager, and coverage of significant management theories.

    • Students learn about foundation in marketing based on five key activities.

    • Students know basic concepts of probability and a review of discrete probability. It then explores 5 major topics in statistics: descriptive statistics, parameter estimations, hypothesis testing, regressions & correlations and analysis of variances.

    • Students understandgathering of source material, synthesising ideas, and writing and editing a substantial piece of fiction and nonfiction concerning copywriting, blogging and more.

    • Students learn how to, layout and experience photography in a modern studio. This course will focus on foundation historical of photography, classification of photography, structure of camera, camera operation, foundation composition and visual language of photography.

    • Students understand the insights into social analytics tools and resources to build a complete social media marketing strategy – from consumer insights to final justification metrics.

    • The course provides design skills and knowledge for Adobe Creative Cloud tools including Adobe Illustrator, and Indesign.

    • This course provides the theory and practice of sound design and its application to various media. This emphasizes on understanding the theory of sound, gaining knowledge in the use sound recording and editing equipment, and using professional techniques for capturing, editing and producing quality audio.
      Students understand the communication processes of consumers and marketers, situation analyses of business as well as creative strategies and evaluation methods.

    • Students have a deep understand about camera operation, audio control, basic directing, lighting, and editing. Students will work individually and in groups to write, shoot, and edit their own projects.

    • Students are provided up-to-date information on how good project, program, and portfolio management can help you achieve organizational success. This course uses a chronological approach to project management, with detailed explanations and examples for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects.

    • Students have basic knowledge of phonetics, writing and simple sentences, and equipped with the basic knowledge of listening to Chinese

    • Students understand the principles of usable design such as listening to users, understanding the medium and the ability to bridge the two with a well designed user interface.

    • Students explore the role of a media planner in advertising media agencies, examine the complexity in negotiating media investment, identifying dynamics between media buyers and sellers.

    • Students design a strategy for developing and telling their own transmedia story.  Students will be able to engage different audiences in a story that is seamlessly told across different platforms, including interactive web experiences, social media communities, mobile devices, theme parks, and even augmented and virtual reality.

    • Students will be developed knowledge, skills, and perspectives to support the application of managing products and developing brand strategies in the marketing area. It helps students to gain insights into the role of product and brand management in gaining and maintaining customer loyalty.

    • Students can explores creative and technical processes in video, sound, radio, web-based and multimedia productions. It requires students to develop a project in one of these media forms or in a combination of them.

    • Students have knowledge of all basic sociological research methods as well as understanding of specific communication research and assessment instruments.

    • Students are also taught basic skills to prevent from infringement of other person's intellectual property rights when they produce their graphic works. How to commercialize intellectual property right is the incorporated part of the subject as well.
